Parsons Bay is nestled on the inside shore of the Tasman Peninsula , a protected bay that can be overlooked from White Beach and Nubeena. For over a hundred years O.E. Hansen & Son has been growing Pears for local and overseas markets, on the largest pear orchard in Tasmania. The expansive property is now available to host private events both in the orchard and nearby store, locally known as ‘The Pear Shed’. Large open spaces and expansive views across the orchard and bay offer a unique experience for weddings, celebrations, and other private gatherings, with equal portions of country & coast. Join us for a memorable event that’s anything but ordinary.

The Pear Shed offers a flexible format under-cover event space, which can be adjusted to suit a range of applications and capacity. The space offers up to 200m2 of floor area, which can spill out to the Orchard area.

The Orchard is a fantastic outdoor setting, suitable for both ceremonies and receptions - weather permitting. Though the Orchard does not have a permanent under cover area the ground offers a stable base for marquees, canopies, and other temporary structures - across a range of potential locations.
Inside the shed there is access to power, water, wash up, and cool room facilities. Venue access for dressing and setup can be arranged prior to your special day, though given the seasonal nature of the working Orchard and packing facility inside The Pear Shed, not all dates may be available for preparation or hire. Parsons Bay Pear Shed & Orchard is a large and characterful space suitable for a range of events. Though some basic infrastructure and dressing is provided we do not provide event organisation or management services. This should be carefully considered prior to making booking. We look forward to working with you to make sure your event is planned and executed smoothy.
Parsons Bay offers their guest a range of equipment which can be hired as part of an event package. Our growing list of assets include serving tables, occasional chairs, fire pots, lounge furniture, wedding dressings, lighting, and signage. We can also provide basic audio packages to suit your application.
